Shallowdale House

Ampleforth

HOME
On the southern edge of the North York Moors National
Park, and 20 miles north of York, Shallowdale House
was built at the beginning of the 1960's on a sheltered
south-facing hillside overlooking an exquisite landscape
of unspoilt English countryside, which has been designated
an area of outstanding natural beauty.

We have been providing bed and breakfast and dinner here since 1998, and we extend a warm welcome to all our guests to an
extremely comfortable home and invite you to share in
the experience of this lovely place.

'Outstanding. What an example to many so-called "hoteliers". A lot of thought has gone into this sanctuary.'
